Operating across Kent and Sussex, FGS Pilcher is part of the Heathcote Holdings group of companies, undertaking construction, groundwork, earthworks, land drainage and habitat management for a wide range of clients, working in a fast-paced/high growth environment.

We are looking for a General Manager to join us, leading the existing operational management team at FGS Pilcher.  The role is key to the company’s future development and success in delivering a continuous flow of projects, to the highest standards, building an enviable portfolio of achievements.  You will be key to identifying future opportunities whether that be through new or complementary services FGS Pilcher can offer, networking or tendering for design and build projects.

On a daily basis, you will manage the workstreams for the overall business, ensuring operations are scheduled and completed to the client’s requirement and in accordance with the budget, time and applicable legislation.   You will be responsible for reporting to the Board on operational and financial matters on a regular basis; providing feasibility reports on future development plans and services; supporting in areas such as HR, staff development, marketing, compliance & quality assurance.

To join the team, you will have proven experience of managing construction and/or civils projects. You should be able to confidently read and interpret site plans and drawings; have knowledge of CAD as well as experience of costing and tendering for applicable projects.  Good communication skills and leadership is essential.   Key to the role is being able to demonstrate a proactive approach to projects.
