We looking for a mechanic to join our friendly team.

Duties will include:

  • Undertake welding, fabrication, mechanical or machining work as necessary.
  • To conduct initial assessment of plant or equipment reported as faulty, identify root cause and formulate a remedy either as a temporary fix or full service repair as soon as possible.
  • Ensure that repairs are undertaken safely and in line with approved methods.
  • Complete job sheets showing times and prices for parts for each piece of equipment/machinery.
  • Some repair and engineering work will be conducted in the workplace (field or on site) therefore lone working practices may be engaged and codes of practice need to be complied with.
  • You will be responsible for your own personal dynamic risk assessment and adaptable method statements will have to be engaged for workplace operations.
  • You will be responsible for scheduling and undertaking the Company’s plant, equipment and fleet of vans servicing and MOTs/LOLER tests where necessary.
  • Ensure allocated workshop vehicle and its equipment are ready for necessary call outs.
  • You will be expected to work alongside and in harmony with others within the company workshop – some tasks will require team work.
  • Workshop equipment will be provided for your use which must be kept in a clean, tidy and serviceable condition at all times.
  • You should be keen to learn, train and maintain current qualifications
